Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (Android 9 Pie)

Xiaomi’s smartphones are some of the most popular phones. They’re generally affordable but make compromises that people on a budget can live with. The popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with its

one of the most popular budget devices in 2017. The smartphone launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and received an official update to Android 7.0 Nougat, but thanks to XDA Senior Member abhishek987, owners of the Redmi Note 4 get to experience the latest version of Android, Android Pie (Android 9), with basically everything working. That’s right, less than a week after Android Pie was released for the Google Pixel, Google Pixel 2, and Essential Phone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 already has an unofficial port of Android 9 available for it. The turnaround time is impressive given the source code for Android 9 was uploaded to the AOSP only a few hours after the latest Android version was officially released. In the support thread for the ROM, there isn’t a single known bug that’s listed. That’s not to say there aren’t any bugs, but in the developer’s experience, the ROM has no major bugs of note.

If you are interested in installing this Android Pie port on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, then check out the support thread for the release in the link below.
